Sue's 22 years in communications have ranged from broadcast journalism to public and media relations to heading an editorial unit, but her true passion is clear, concise writing.

She specializes in plain-language writing and communications strategies for the Web, as well as concept-to-production for communications products including newsletters, information packages, brochures, advertorials, videos and books.

She was commissioned by the Ottawa-Carleton Board of Trade to author the book "Ottawa: A Contemporary Portrait" in honour of the Board's 140th anniversary. Sue was also the recipient of an Excel Award from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Ottawa Chapter in 2003, for her work in creating a new internal communications Web site for Indian and Northern Affairs Canada.

Sue has led teams and created strategies and content for Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, the Corel Centre, and the Ottawa-Carleton Board of Trade, among others. Her journalism experience includes both private radio and the CBC.

Impressed by Ms. Flanagan McCarthy's professionalism and expertise while working together on projects at Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, Sue is proud to now be a part of the McCarthy Media Group team.
